Installing Xen on Ubuntu 6.06 (based on debian)

Just a note on the resources that worked for me.

I installed on a really cheap (sub-$400) Compaq Presario AMD Sempron 3400+. Used the Ubuntu distro in the Linux Format 'Ubuntu special', and followed the update instructions in that mag.

Then used this great cut-and-paste stepwise guide:

How To Set Up Xen 3.0 From Binaries In Ubuntu 6.06 LTS (Dapper Drake)

It worked. There's no greater praise. A long sequence, but certainly educational.

Additionally, this was a useful read:

Create a Debian VM with debootstrap

And this is essential reading for actual use of the Xen:
